Once
the gay playground for Brits, Torremolinos' gay scene is very much Spanish
now. The main gay area is in La Nogalera, an open air shopping complex.
At the weekends a young crowd comes in from all over the Costa del Sol
and Malaga City, which despite its size, doesn't have a gay scene to speak
of, largly due to Torremolinos already having a very well established gay
scene for many years.
Torremolinos
is one of Spain's low cost destinations, with countless posibilities for
day trips to places like Gibraltar, Morocco, the ski resorts of Sierra
Nevada, Malaga City etc. Malaga airport is just 10 min by a direct train
line from central Torremolinos, so it is very easy and inexpensive to get
over here for a short break.

There will soon be a big new gay sauna in La Nogalera. We'll keep you posted,
as soon as there is any new information. The place is ready, but they are
awaiting their licence. It is expected to open in June. |
